With the rapid development of a new generation of information technology, digitization, networking, and intelligence have gradually penetrated most traditional industries, including manufacturing, energy, and transportation, forming their own development trends in each industry. New models and new formats such as intelligent manufacturing and smart energy are becoming the new development themes across various sectors. Clothing, food, housing, and transportation are essential daily necessities for the public, and the textile and apparel industry related to "clothing" is closely linked to everyone's life. As a traditional manufacturing industry, promoting the digital and intelligent transformation of the textile and apparel sector is the common direction of effort for the industry at present.
Multiple policies also indicate that our country is placing great importance on the digital transformation of the textile industry, making it even more urgent. In 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the second batch of typical application scenarios for "5G + Industrial Internet" and key industry practices, among which the textile industry is included as one of the five key industry practices. Relevant policies also point out the need to gradually achieve the digital transformation of the textile industry. In June 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Textile Industry" proposed to continuously deepen industrial structure adjustment and transformation and upgrading, increase efforts in technological innovation and talent cultivation, and establish several advanced textile industry clusters. The "Action Plan for the Development of the Industrial Internet in the Textile Industry (2018-2020)" proposed to vigorously develop the industrial internet in the textile industry, promote the deep integration of the internet and the textile industry, facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry, and achieve high-quality development, building a strong textile nation.
