According to reports, in 2009, despite a significant decline in the export of textile machinery in the international market, as the textile industry in Asia began to recover, the demand for textile machinery also started to warm up. The vast majority of shipments in the international textile machinery industry were directed towards the Asian region. In 2009, the top five countries and regions for textile machinery imports were all concentrated in Asia, accounting for 56.62% of the total global textile machinery imports. The Asian textile machinery market has an optimistic development momentum for the next three years. In the first quarter of 2010, orders for Italian textile machinery increased by 41%, with orders from China growing by 110%, reaching 70 million euros, and orders from India increasing by 78%, reaching 23 million euros. Orders for German textile machinery increased by 130% in the first quarter of this year, and it is expected that the sales of German textile machinery for the entire year will increase by 30% to 35% compared to 2009.
In the second quarter of 2010, the industrial control index of China's textile machinery industry showed an upward trend compared to the same period in 2008, reaching 119. The market size of automation products in the textile machinery industry exceeded 800 million yuan in the second quarter of 2010, a year-on-year increase of 46.8% and a quarter-on-quarter increase of 7.5%; among them, the application of inverters was the most, exceeding 40%, while the application of HMIs was the least, accounting for only 6%. The textile machinery industry experienced slight growth in the second quarter of 2010, with a quarter-on-quarter increase of about 10% and a year-on-year increase of over 50%. From the perspective of domestic sales regions, the sales of this industry in the second quarter of 2010 were mainly concentrated in East China, Central South, and North China, accounting for 98% of the total, with strong demand in regions such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Xinjiang.
