(1) When purchasing towels, check whether the towel has standardized labeling, indicating the Manufacturer, Address, Tel, trademark, implementation standards, washing methods, etc.
(2) Qualified towels should be odorless. Generally speaking, high-quality towels feel soft, fluffy, and elastic, and should not be dry and hard to avoid harming the skin. Additionally, choose towels with good water absorption for drying hands and face, as they can quickly absorb moisture, while inferior towels feel slippery on the face and cannot absorb water or dirt.
(3) Towels should be kept ventilated and dry to prevent spots or the growth of various bacteria, which shortens their usage time. Household towels should not be bleached with bleach to avoid harming the skin. After towels become greasy, they can be washed with salt water. Human secretions that contaminate towels contain pathogenic microorganisms, such as Chlamydia trachomatis, Staphylococcus aureus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and fungi, so it is best to disinfect them weekly. Disinfection methods include: ① Boiling disinfection. Boil in water for 10 minutes; ② Microwave disinfection. Run the microwave for 5 minutes; ③ High-pressure steam disinfection. Heat in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes, which can kill most microorganisms.
